Vindhyachal (also called Vindhyavasini) is 70 km from Varanasi and is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas — the most powerful Devi pilgrimage stops in Hinduism. The temple complex enshrines three goddesses forming a sacred trikon (triangle): Vindhyavasini Devi, Ashtabhuja Devi, and Kali Khoh Devi. The full trikon parikrama is the traditional rite — 5 km on foot or 8 km by car. The cab journey is 90 minutes via NH-19 through Mirzapur. Most pilgrims book a 4–6 hour package: morning departure, full Devi darshan, return to Varanasi by afternoon. Trips often combine Vindhyachal with Chunar Fort (40 km away) for a full-day option.
