Varanasi Local Tour
Varanasi On Wheels' Varanasi local tour is a flexible 1- to 5-day itinerary covering the city's most important pilgrimage and cultural sites: Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the morning boat ride at Assi Ghat, the evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh, the Buddhist site of Sarnath, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) campus and museum, and a guided Banarasi street-food walk. Tour pricing starts at ₹3,000 per person on shared vehicles and includes a Varanasi-based driver who has been working these routes for years. Drivers know the temple darshan timings, the back-routes that avoid Dashashwamedh's traffic, and where the safest, cleanest boat operators wait for tourists.
Tour Highlights
- •Kashi Vishwanath Temple darshan with route guidance
- •Evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat
- •Morning boat ride from Assi to Manikarnika
- •Sarnath — Dhamek Stupa, Mulagandha Kuti Vihar, museum

Buddhist Circuit Tour
The Buddhist Circuit is the most important pilgrimage in Theravada and Mahayana Buddhism — covering the four major sites where Gautama Buddha lived, taught, and attained nirvana, plus Nalanda and Rajgir where the Sangha grew. Varanasi On Wheels has been operating Buddhist Circuit tours for Sri Lankan, Thai, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese pilgrim groups since the early 2000s. The standard 7-day route starts and ends at Varanasi (Sarnath being just 12 km from the city), then loops east through Bodhgaya, Rajgir, Nalanda, and Kushinagar before crossing the Nepal border at Sunauli for Lumbini. We handle SAARC visa procedures, monastery booking, monk introductions at the Mahabodhi temple, and pure-veg meals on request.
Tour Highlights
- •Sarnath — Dhamek Stupa, Mulagandha Kuti Vihar, Buddha's first sermon site
- •Bodhgaya — Mahabodhi Temple, Bodhi Tree, all-night meditation option
- •Rajgir — Vulture's Peak (Gridhrakuta), Saptaparni cave
- •Nalanda — university ruins, Xuanzang Memorial

Ramayana Circuit Tour
The Ramayana Circuit retraces key sites from the Ramayana — Ayodhya (the birthplace of Lord Rama and now home to the new Ram Mandir, consecrated 22 January 2024), Prayagraj (where Bharat is said to have met Rama at the confluence), and Chitrakoot (where Rama, Sita, and Lakshman spent eleven of their fourteen exile years). Varanasi On Wheels has operated this circuit since the Ram Mandir foundation ceremony and has been one of the recommended operators for Ayodhya darshan logistics. The drivers know the new Ram Mandir entry protocol (security check, mobile-free zone, footwear rules) and the back-route to avoid the Tehri-area pilgrim crowd. From Varanasi the loop is naturally clockwise: Varanasi → Prayagraj → Ayodhya → Chitrakoot → Varanasi.
Tour Highlights
- •Ayodhya — Ram Janmabhoomi (Ram Mandir), Hanuman Garhi, Kanak Bhawan
- •Saryu Aarti at Naya Ghat, Ayodhya
- •Prayagraj — Triveni Sangam, Akshayavat, Bade Hanuman Mandir
- •Chitrakoot — Kamadgiri, Hanuman Dhara, Ramghat, Gupt Godavari

Dev Deepawali Tour
Dev Deepawali is celebrated on Kartik Purnima — fifteen days after Diwali — and is unique to Varanasi. Every one of the 84 ghats is lit by millions of clay diyas, and the entire river-facing wall of the city glows from dusk to midnight. The grand Ganga Aarti is performed simultaneously at Dashashwamedh, Assi, Panchganga, Rajendra Prasad, and Kedar Ghats. Most photographers and pilgrims book reserved boats from morning of Kartik Purnima — boats sell out 4–6 weeks ahead. Varanasi On Wheels has been organising Dev Deepawali packages for over 15 years, including reserved boats, riverside diya-lighting (with priest), and rooftop viewing terraces at Brijrama Palace or Suryauday Haveli. Book by mid-September for the best boats.
Tour Highlights
- •Reserved boat for Dev Deepawali evening (4 Nov 2026)
- •Diya-lighting ceremony with a priest at your assigned ghat
- •Simultaneous Ganga Aarti at all major ghats
- •Kashi Vishwanath darshan during the day

Jain Pilgrimage Circuit
Varanasi sits at the centre of the eastern Jain heritage zone. Three of the 24 Tirthankaras — Suparshvanath (7th), Chandraprabha (8th), and Shreyansanath (11th) — were born in villages within 50 km of Varanasi: Bhadarpur (Suparshvanath), Chandrapuri (Chandraprabha), and Singhpur (Shreyansanath). Add Pawapuri (where Mahavira attained moksha) and Parasnath Hill / Shikharji (where 20 of the 24 Tirthankaras achieved nirvana) and you have one of the most concentrated Jain pilgrimage circuits in India. Varanasi On Wheels has run this circuit for Shvetambara and Digambara groups from Gujarat, Rajasthan, Mumbai, and Karnataka. Drivers are briefed on Jain dietary restrictions (no onion, garlic, root vegetables, after-sunset food) and we can arrange Jain-thali catering at every halt.
Tour Highlights
- •Singhpur — birthplace of Shreyansanath (11th Tirthankara)
- •Chandrapuri — birthplace of Chandraprabha (8th Tirthankara)
- •Bhadarpur — birthplace of Suparshvanath (7th Tirthankara)
- •Pawapuri Jal Mandir — Lord Mahavira's moksha sthal

Varanasi–Gaya–Prayagraj Tour
This is the ancestral-ritual (shradh / pind daan) circuit referenced in the Garuda Purana. Gaya (specifically Vishnupad Temple and the Phalgu River) is the most powerful pind-daan tirth in Hinduism — said to liberate seven generations of ancestors. Prayagraj's Triveni Sangam is where the asthi-visarjan and tarpan rituals are performed. Varanasi anchors the circuit with Kashi Vishwanath darshan and the Manikarnika cremation ghats. Varanasi On Wheels has coordinated with the Pandas of Gaya for years and can pre-arrange your pind-daan ceremony — the panda will conduct rituals at all 16 vedis at Vishnupad in a single day (otherwise distributed across 17 days).
Tour Highlights
- •Kashi Vishwanath darshan, Varanasi
- •Manikarnika Ghat — moksha tirth
- •Vishnupad Temple, Gaya — pind daan at the footprint of Vishnu
- •Phalgu River pind daan and tarpan

Complete Pilgrimage Tour Package
This is the comprehensive pilgrimage circuit for families who want to cover the major Hindu pilgrimage sites of North India in a single trip. The standard 10-day route covers the Ramayana sites (Ayodhya, Chitrakoot), the Krishna sites (Mathura, Vrindavan), the ancestral-ritual sites (Gaya, Prayagraj Sangam), the Buddhist sites (Sarnath, Bodhgaya), and Kashi itself. A compressed 7-day version skips Mathura/Vrindavan; the extended 14-day version adds Naimisharanya, Vindhyachal, Haridwar, and Kedarnath / Badrinath (in season). The route can also include Pind Daan rituals at Gaya, Saryu Aarti at Ayodhya, and a Yamuna boat ride at Mathura. We tailor the itinerary around your priorities — Vaishnav, Shaiv, or Shakta — and your timeline.

- •Kashi Vishwanath darshan + Manikarnika tirth
- •Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi (Ram Mandir) darshan
- •Prayagraj Triveni Sangam — boat ride and tarpan
